Construction of a prototype volumetric cross laminated timber hotel bedroom pod provided Castle Stuart Golf with the opportunity to add a fourth bedroom to Golf Lodge in the heart of Castle Stuart Golf Links using this innovative construction method.

Design standards for the internal bedroom layout of the forthcoming 60-bed Dormy Hotel were tested within the pod which was prefabricated in nearby Invergordon.

The pod was clad in stone to tie in with the existing cottage.
